Ah, the 'Disco-Valente' has come back to roost!
I don't believe that any professional athlete could afford that thing. The retired hockey player down the street from where I am right now (last name LaFontaine) has a water view house but his boat is a nice @ 30' power boat like a Grady-White. I have seen a Forbes family boat but it has a green or dark hull cruising down the Hudson but it was bigger then that by some. If it ain't Paul Allen's then it must belong to some Saudi royalty. I do agree with the Norwegian Bilge Rat that boats like this are hard to tell apart. If you would post a picture of the transom with the NAME on it I could try to look it up if I wasn't so lazy. |

They were having some kind of cocktail party affair aboard as they motored towards the Tappan-Zee. The hull color is distinctive and only overwhelmed by the other 'stuff' on board: Helo on it's pad, tenders, communication gear etc. I can't imagine the number of crew members it takes to run a ship like that, plus the chef, caterers and the sommelier. I doubt they would have a 'cook' on a boat like that so they would need a 'chef' instead.
I saw the name of that boat but I guess I am not that impressed by so much wealth that I can't remember either the name or the hailing port (probably 'Cuttyhunk'). Paul is probably finishing up a late dinner with the Cuban and is rightfully keeping us in suspense as to who owns the boat in his photos. Bon appetit. |

That is it for sure Mike, er, Bubb2. It looks a bit different when next to it while on a sailboat on the water. I saw that bugger cruising south on the Hudson right past Tarrytown, NY where your boat is. I could hear the lounge music and see the cocktail guests out on the various decks admiring their drinks and the view (perhaps).
I could not find the port of registry for the 'Highlander' though on the web page. Not that it matters. The helo deck says it all and the hull is the color of money. No wonder Donald Duck Trump likes having his image on their main web page. I was a bit surprised to read that there are only something like 5 private cabins (I suppose suites) on a boat that size but the crew of 20 hands need a few closets to sleep in too. |
