Default Boat Plans

I know some of us are old enough to remeber most of these boats from the old magazines like Popular Mechanics.
Here is a site that claims to have these old plans for free.
Some dinghys and sail boats as well as power boats.
Check it out and see how many you remember.
I have seen most of these at one time or another.
FREE BOAT PLANS, Boat Plans at Svenson's

I have been looking at some of these and they are realy cool little boats!
There is a nesting dinghy in the plans also for those who are interested.

I am goign to the library and see if I can't find some plans there. I have alot of plywood. I'd like to practice making one of these before I commit to a whole boat. How is the engine problem going?

Slow! We are having to do all the normal life things but from here and with only a bus for transportation. We do not like to row in to catch the bus in the afternoon as we are rowing aginst the wind and it's kinda rough then. We have about 200 yds. to row which is no big deal except in 20+ kts.
We'll get it though.

Well when you reduce everything down to its lowest common denominator, there isnt much difference between a cat and a houseboat!

... or a tug, mono, or tri for that matter.

I think Eric Sponberg has a nice couple of house designs. The photo below is a teaser for a longer article on the Sponberg Yacht Design site.

Very nice. The Sponberg seems to be more my taste.

Of course, I love all boats. I helped these guys dock at my marina last year. They brought the sister of this boat down from Kentucky and was delivering it to the Port of Houston for transport to some Russian Governor.

The boat sold for $750K. plus delivery. They let us tour the boat and it was a virtual mansion on water. It had video monitors and joy stick controlled thrusters for docking.

That is nice. I was a bit surprised by the wood on wood interior though.

Yep it might be what he needs and since it's plywood he can stand on it while he gets his nuts loose...on the other boat.
