Excellent find, Grime!
I think I've done this before on my trailer-sailer a few years back. The first year I had her I launched her from the trailer for each sail. I reversed the shrouds on that a time or two.
I wonder if you'll see a huge difference in the tacking issue?
Are they reversed on one side only, or on both sides?

I don't think it was current. The current is less than 0.5kts. The more I thought about it the more something didn't look right. The shrouds just didn't look the same as when we purchased to boat.
I got to looking at the photos of the day we purchased her and before we lowered the mast to bring her down here. The lowers were towards the bow and the uppers back behind. On the boat when we stepped the mast we put the uppers towards the bow and the lowers behind them. Wrong.
Lisa has some measurement to do at the marina on a console cover so I figured I'd put the shrouds where they belonged. I got the uppers and lowers switched and all I have to do is make sure they have the correct tension and the mast is plumb. I'll do that the next time I'm at the marina.
We'll see if this corrects the tacking issue.
